Traditional Documentary Edit

A documentary video is a traditional and clean edit. It follows a chronological order of your wedding ceremony and reception and includes important moments from those two main events.

A dual-camera angle of your entire ceremony, reception entrance, speeches, cake cutting and first dances with recorded audio.

It includes the following two stages of the day:

The Ceremony

From the start of the processional (bridal party and bride entering the ceremony) right through to the end of the wedding recessional, when the newlywed couple exits the ceremony including any confetti throwing. Family greetings/photos and group shots of all guests are NOT included in this edit. Ceremony documentary edits are typically 20 to 50 minutes, depending on the type of ceremony.

The reception

Includes the reception entrances, speeches, cake cutting and first bridal dance in one long video. The reception dancing segments are only captured and added to the highlight edit.

Audio

The audio includes unedited dialogue. So you can rewatch any speech from your wedding reception repeatedly. And your wedding vows, well, you’ll have all of them, the entire thing.

What’s not included?

One important thing to note: the documentary edit does not include morning preparations, first look, decorations, the photo sessions and the reception dancing segments. We save those artistic shots for the short highlight edit. Dancing segments can be included if you upgrade to a Full Feature Documentary Edit (see below).

Creative changes are not allowed unless there are obvious editing errors, such as missing audio or black/empty scenes.
